ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024 is now taking place in Laos. MOTCE takes active participation in a series of activities of ATF 2024.
The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Agency is attending NTO’s Media Briefing ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024.
Deputy for Marketing at MOTCE Ni Ayu Marthini said that the development of inclusive and sustainable tourism has now become Indonesian government’s priority.
To boost green tourism in Indonesia, MOTCE is taking efforts and policies.
They are implementing regional levy policy or green tourism tax for foreign tourists by paying IDR 150,000 or 10 USD.
This implementation program will start in Bali on February 14, 2024.
MOTCE has created a guideline for foreign tourists about the ‘do’s and ‘don’t’s about when to visit Indonesia’s destinations and creative economy centres.
Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia between January and November in 2023 was about 10.4 million.
Domestic trips between January and October in 2023 was 688.78 million.
Ni Made explained that tourism foreign exchange value from January to June, 2023 was 6.08 billion USD. Export value for creative economy products was 11.82 billion USD.
Apart from participating in ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024, MOTCE also brought travel agents/tour operators from Bali, Jakarta, Bangdung, East Nusa Tenggara and Riau to participate in TRAVEX 2024.
In TRAVEX 2024, MOTCE is presenting the Wonderful Indonesia.
Borobudur features as its primary theme and Candirejo Tourism Village as the primary destination to offer to its buyers.
